Facebook

I did something I?ve been resisting for a long time and today I signed up on . I love blogging and liken this to having an affair with a cheap slut, betraying my blog when I know I have all I need here. It?s not the first time either as I am a member of too. Does this make me a bad man? Or am I just weak?

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

Actually I think nothing I do over here overlaps with what happens over there. I use , and now , to keep in touch with people who I don?t see very often, popping by to say hello, where as on this blog it?s all about me!

, , Bebo, whatever, are all very superficial, revolving around how many friends you?ve added, or how many groups you?re in. With blogging I enjoy reading, as opposed to glancing, and really enjoy the whole community, catching up with new friends.

I think what appeals to people on these sites is that it?s easy to add new ?friends?, where as on blogs you have to try a little harder and people will only add you to their links if they really think your content is worth reading. I read all the blogs on my links page.

That?s enough about that though and if you want to catch up with me in the other realms then follow the links below.

Whats wrong with a good old affair with a cheap slut? Plus in this metaphor you wife/blog can?t leave you if it finds out!

I can?t have a myspace or facebook account. My teenagers would give me way too much shit.

    I?m on both?

In fact? I just asked to be your friend on myspace. So don?t get weirded out by the pale American guy with the long hair and glasses?.

I really can?t be arsed with any site that makes me sign in before I can view it?

    Did someone say cheap sluts?!

I think that?s a really astute observation about the difference between MySpace/Facebook, and blogging. I hadn?t thought of it that way, but it?s true. I like your assessment, and I love your blog. :0)

I?ve already caught up with a few old friends over Facebook, some who I haven?t seen for years, so it can?t be all bad.

I did make a big mistake on my profile as I?d ticked a wrong box on the way I sway! Corrected now though although the people who saw the profile on the first day may now think that I?m gay!

    whoops.
