My latest tweet: RT @iaminigomontoya: @Adem You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I arranged a Salsa Night at Uni for last night, and although we didn’t have a great turn-out I have to admit that I enjoyed myself and I know that everyone else who came also had a lot of fun.
Salsa
Salsa, and learning to to dance in general has never been something that I have been keen on, although I will get up for a boogie at a club once I’ve had a bit of dutch courage. On those occasions I wake up in the morning and realise that I spent the evening dacing like a twat, although at the time I though I was the king of the floor.

If it had been packed I would’ve sat by the bar and just watched and found other things to do, but I couldn’t really hide and so now I can confidently pull-off a few Salsa moves after just an hours tuition. Once you get the rhythm and understand the 8-beat of the music then moves are pretty easy, although there were a few occasions where I was wrong footed and had to get back into it.

It also has to be said that can be quite energetic and you’ll be getting a sweat on if you’re doing it right.

I would consider doing a bit more Salsa if the chance came along and I think it’s also a good way to meet knew people….. plus the chicks dig it!

I would love to take lessons, but I’ve never wanted to do it alone. Fancy coming to Wisconsin?! :)

  2. We’ll be seeing you on Strictly next!
