RT @iaminigomontoya: @Adem You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
It’s nice to see someone local doing so well, as is Kirk Shepherd, the 21 year-old from Ramsgate, who has just reached the Darts World Championship final.
I must admit that I don’t know him, although he is a regular at one of my local pubs, The Australian Arms, but a lot of people have been talking about him and they’re very proud of what he’s done. Nice work Kirk.

The final is on New Year’s Day at 7:30pm on SkySports1

Wow, a World Championship Darts finalist at the age of 21?!?! Fantastic stuff. Come on Kirk!
3 weeks ago he was 5000/1 to win it. Woul’ve been nice to put a tenner on then eh?
Did anybody know this Kirk Shepherd? Well I did’nt.
But he just play great!
You have to know that I’m from Germany
and aare not many people who know this sport.
I’m a fan of darts since nearly two years now.
As I saw the match on TV yesterday I just thought: “Wow, this guy is brilliant!” Now I want to start play darts, too.
I want to say: “Thank you Kirk Shepherd!” You showed the world that there are other players that “The Power” or “Barney”.
I hear we have quite a thriving croquet scene too.
Sadly Kirk didn’t win (link here) but he is £50,000 richer now. Not bad.
I was following it this week its a shame like you said he didn’t win but I think he will be there again.
