Making a Model World

I?ve been playing around with tilt-shift photography which results in miniature style photos that are pictures of real-life scenes but manipulated to look like model photographs. I haven?t actually been doing all the hard work described here but have instead been using tiltshiftmaker.com which does all the hard work for you.

It won?t work with just any old photo but when it does work then I think the results are pretty good and really do look like snapshots of miniature model worlds.

Here?s some of my photos and I would suggest you click on them and view them full-size.

Quite fun really, although I?ve obviously just used photos that I had already taken. I will see if I?m able to take some photos with this technique in mind as those take from a higher vantage and varying levels of depth will come out better.
