It’s become a bit of a tradition in recent years for the bride and groom to do something ‘different’ at their ceremony and reception and it looks like the Royals are no different:

Last night I trekked to the Wheatsheaf pub for the Thursday night pool league, and due to the amount of snow and slush I decided to wear my wellies for the journey.

I did look like a farmer didn’t I?

A friend of mine has moved into a new flat in Canterbury and he pointed out the manufacturer’s name on the lift we were in, Schindler, which meant we were riding in Schindler’s Lift, which was quite funny (although not really).

I was thinking, “wow did they not realise that?” but then a quick bit of research reveals that the Schindler Group were founded in Switzerland in 1874, so I think I’ll let them off.

I was at Elephant & Castle train station yesterday when I spotted a poster for Discover Kent featuring a lovely snap of Botany Bay. I’m just wondering if they’ll be editing these to include a little bit of nudity in the near future?

Paul pointed me towards this article and I decided to post about it as I found it very amsusing.  Basically the BNP has made an anti-immigration poster that features a Spitfire of the RAF No. 303 “Kościuszko” Polish Fighter Squadron, formed in Britain as part of an agreement between the Polish Government in Exile and the United Kingdom.

The pilots of the 303 Squadren accounted for 203 Luftwaffe aircraft – roughly 12 per cent of total German losses, and is a time when we must be grateful for the Polish “coming over here and taking our jobs.”

Rude Receipt

I found this story on BBC.co.uk about a very rude receipt some restaurant customers received.

Joe Delucci’s owner Mr Langsdon said the message had been meant to be seen only by kitchen staff and he did not know how it ended up as an item on the receipt.

He said: “That shouldn’t come out on the bill, so we’ve got to find out what’s gone wrong there.”

I guess that means it’s fine then, just so long as the customers don’t find out!

This has got to be the best fancy dress costume EVER!
