Travelling without moving

Phew, another weekend over with, and yet again I am tired for the start of the working week, and feel like I haven?t had a rest.

Last week I was in Brighton / London. The week before Isle of Wight / London. And this week I was back in London. All these weekends I?ve been driving and no doubt increasing my carbon footprint, and have been racking up the miles, although I only drove 200 miles this weekend as opposed to 300 miles the one before and more than 300 miles the week before that.

I am looking forward to this weekend when I have no plans and will be staying at home and hopefully getting some gardening done. I want to get the garden done sooner rather than later so that I can have some summer fun, bbq?s, etc when it gets sunny again (hopefully). More news on this to follow plus photos?. before and after!!

Next week (Thursday) I have to go to Birmingham for work but I have decided that I will be going by train so that I can relax a little and not fall asleep at the wheel as it is a 400 mile round trip by road.

And then on the Friday I?m off to France for the weekend, but I will NOT be driving!

Looking back, this is a very poorly structured post, but I don?t care??? You should be happy for a post from me!!

You certainly get around! I very rarely venture out of the town that I live in?

We have booked a holiday actually this year in a little cottage in Norfolk, so that will make a change.

I see that you get to relax on the train to Birmingham. It will be a nice bit of relaxation time for yourself rather than having to concentrate on the busy roads!

I know exactly what you mean about it being nice to have a weekend to just be at home. I can?t wait for one of those!
