Which Camera Do I Take?

Thanks everyone for your Birthday wishes. I seem to be over my melancholy and it?s back to business again after a while away from the blog.

Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria

You?ve got a few more days of me, and then I?m disappearing as I?m off on holiday! I?m off to Gran Canaria for a week and although everything is sorted I?m in a quandary about one matter? what camera to take?

Do I take a my that I can take everywhere and don?t mind breaking, or do I take my nice Canon EOS 450d and lenses which set me back a small fortune but will capture some great photos (hopefully)?

I will be trying to get about a bit and see some of the sights, but I know I?ll also be spending a fair bit of time getting out and about, having drinks, and having a swim.

What do you think and what would you do?

Welcome back to blogging Adem. In answer to your question, this one is simple, bring the good one, if you don?t, than what the hell did you buy it for.

  2. No, no. Take the old one. Even if you?ve taken out travel insurance, the excess is likely to be around 300 smackers. So if your new kit does go west, you?ll be seriously out of pocket! And what a mizzy Xmas that would be!

If you don?t want to be lumbered with a big camera, then the portable.

But for good quality pics take the Canon.

I?m glad I did on my last trip to Spain. Until the battery ran out.

I?d take whichever is going to be more convenient to lug around with you, because you won?t get any shots (good or great) unless you actually have the camera easily accessible.

Cheers for the suggestions. I?m thinking of taking the cheap camera. I can get off some okay shot, and if it does get stolen, lost, or broken then I won?t be as annoyed.

If I was going 100% for the sites then I?d be tempted to take the Canon but as I know I?ll be going for the more social side of things then a small camera is a much better solution.
