More Police Brutality

Following on from my post last week about the Police?s role in the death of Ian Tomlinson at the G20 protests another video has emerged following more Police brutality at a vigil in honour of Mr Tomlinson. In this instance a woman is struck in the face with the back of the officer?s hand and then hit on the legs with a baton.

The officer has been suspended, as is the same with the mystery officer from the G20 incident, but is a suspension enough? If at the end of this the officers have not been punished and have not faced criminal action then I will know that there is something seriously wrong with policing and the law in this country. Have a read here and tell me how these differ apart from the fact that the attacker is a policeman.

These must only be a small collection of all the incidents that have occurred.

In one clip the officers try to order the press to leave or face arrest. I?m glad that a paper like the Guardian is taking a stand on this.
