Am I boring you yet?

I know you?re probably all sick of me talking about the new house, but there?s no getting away from the fact that this is one of the biggest things to have happened to me for quite a while, and is unquestionably the most expensive thing I?ve ever taken on so of course it is dominating my life.

I?m thinking about it all the time, I?m working of the house in all my spare moments, and whilst I?m still striving to get the property livable, it will dominate nearly everything I talk about. Even I?m boring myself!

I did get some respite this weekend though as I had two, yes TWO weddings to go to, Phil & Emily?s on Friday and Ben & Beth?s on Saturday and it was a relief to have such a distraction. I ate, drank, danced, and was merry throughout the weekend and it was the perfect antidote from home ownership. I also resisted the urge to take my camera along which meant I was free to do whatever I wanted to do and felt I had no responsibility to take photos which happens when I bring a camera.

On Sunday it was back to working on the house but today I?m back at work after having the whole of last week off and so in a way this will be a relief too but obviously I?ve started paying the bills on the house and so I do need to get in there soon to make it all worthwhile. I?ll also then be able to have the fabled housewarming party.

I?m getting a quote for new central heating this weekend and then after that I will know where I stand with budgeting for the rest of the house. Next up will be putting in the new kitchen which should just take a weekend and then I will be able to start moving in.

I would say that we?re in the middle stage now and so I?ve taken another video to show you what?s happened so far. Nothing major has happened but as you can see most of the junk has gone and the house is looking a lot cleaner.
