Facebook and the ?Konami Code?

I?m guessing that a lot of you are on Facebook, or you think it?s a load of tripe, but if you are a Facebook user (and a  geek) then you may be interested to know that it is possible to use the Konami Code on it.

In short this is a cheat code that the game developers Konami first put in a game in 1986 and since then it?s cropped up in quite a few places as a nod to popular culture.

Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Enter key then anywhere you click will create a lens flare effect. To get rid of this all you need to do is refresh (5) the page and it will disappear. You won?t get a virus or anything, it?s just something the developers put in there for some fun.

If you also go into ?settings? > ? account settings? > ?language? you will now be able to change your language to ?English (Upside Down)? which does exactly what it says on the tin and another option is English (Pirate). To remove this you will have to go back into settings and change the language back to ?English (UK)?.

I personally (that?s the nerdy bit of me) find it pretty cool that programmers still give these little heads ups so have a little play and amaze your friends.
